BIG PULLEY KIT INSTRUCTION GUIDE
<CAUTION> Check Point before Installation
■ Check the rear derailleur hanger is correctly and straight using an alignment tool.
*If the hanger is bent or something wrong, the BPK might have a chance to hit the wheel or break the frame.
In the worst case, a rider might be injured.
■ Check the chain is worn out or not using a chain checker. Replace a new chain if necessary.
■ If the installed chain is still usable, it’s possible to use an extension chain links for property length.
But it should be the same grade.
Overall Length of the Chain
■ BPK V3 12-15T, V3PLUS 12-17T with Shimano(90/68/79/67series), Sram(Red22/Force/E-TAP),
Campagnolo(10/11sp, S.Record/Record/Chorus/Athena/Potenza)
*Gear position ; Outer / Top
*B tension bolt ; loosen maximally
Connect the chain links with almost verticalness positions the Guide pulley and the Tension pulley without hard chain tension but no flexure.
Except for ; Shimano 68GS/67GS, Sram WiFLi is 1link shorter than as above.
■ BPK V3PLUS 12-17T with Shimano(R91/R80/R70series)
*Gear position ; Outer / Low
*Trial fitting the chain between the crank and rear gear without through the BPK.
*Check the link position (a) or (b),
(a) Add 4links from the vertical line when installing the BPK V3PLUS.
(b) Add 3links from the vertical line when installing the BPK V3PLUS.
■ BPK V3 12-15T, V3MIDDLE 12-15T with Shimano(R91/R80/R70series)
*Gear position ; Outer / Low
*Trial fitting the chain between the crank and rear gear without through the BPK.
*Check the link position (a) or (b),
(a) Add 2links from the vertical line when installing the BPK V3 or V3MIDDLE.
(b) Add 1link from the vertical line when installing the BPK V3 or V3MIDDLE.
B Tension Adjusting
■ B tension adjusting bolt is tightened until the chain slack comes out while the Inner / Top gear position.
Then additionally tightens if the guide pulley interferes the rear gear as the Inner / Low gear position.
*Di2 synchro shift ; Adjust as closer Inner / Top gear position then as closer Inner / Low gear position.
Remarks
■ Shimano(90/68/79/67series)
B tension adjusting range is quite narrow and if the tension spring inside the derailleur is attenuated,
or as the B tension tightens maximally and still the guide pulley interferes the rear gear, the tension spring should reposition stronger than original position. But rarely B tension can not be adjusted, for example,
a very short rear derailleur hanger bracket.
(Solution idea example ; grind the top of guide pulley teeth. Using an adapter rear hanger.)
■ Shimano(90/68/79/67series)
Especially the BPK for those models are also quite narrow acceptable range so that should be careful if a BPK model selected. Refer below application guide.
■ To set up for the shifting gears should be referred each manufacturer’s manual.

Bearing Information
■ Standard bearings are hybrid ceramic type which have ceramic balls with steel housings and grease sealed.
■ Option ; Full ceramic bearings have all balls and housings made of ceramic with side covers which is not touched inner housings. Therefore before delivery, we do aging process all full ceramic bearings with our original tuning oil. We sell the tuning oil separately. The full ceramic bearings need a maintenance with the tuning oil every 1,000km. But it depends how it’s used at any condition.
■ Standard bearings don't need specific maintenance. Just as usual.
